2SLGBTQ+ Needs Assessment Leads to
Seven Recommendations to #DoBetter
The Recommendations Report draws from the LGBT YouthLine’s PYAP Needs Assessment, where almost 1,200 2SLGBTQ+ youth from across Ontario shared their insights.
At each of the launch events, we engaged participants to dream about futures where 2SLGBTQ+ youth were prioritized. These ideas were brought to Youth Ambassadors who then helped shape the 7 recommendations you will read.
2SLGBTQ+ youth across Ontario shared a multitude of perspectives. Their experiences, needs and recommendations vary depending on where in the province they live, as well as their specific identities. To honour these perspectives, the recommendations are framed in such a way that they can be applied anywhere in Ontario. If put into action right away with the leadership of 2SLGBTQ+ youth, these recommendations can directly impact 2SLGBTQ+ youth lives and futures.
